Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms in clients dealing with mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

• Design personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, considering their unique circumstances, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their symptoms effectively.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and offer essential guidance on treatment options and self-care strategies to promote well-being.

• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and update treatment plans to reflect their evolving needs and goals.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

• Stay informed about the latest research in mood disorders to enhance treatment efficacy and client outcomes.

• Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest level of professionalism in documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents facing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Many clients may come from underrepresented backgrounds, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. This position provides an opportunity to make a significant impact by holistic engagement in treatment that acknowledges the intersection of cultural, social, and personal factors affecting mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .
