Vice president of land acquisition homebuilder

Our client is a growing privately held regional builder in the SouthEast. We are seeking someone experienced in land acquisition in the North Carolina area. Vice President of Land Acquisition The Vice President of Land Acquisition will lead the company’s land acquisition and development strategy, identifying and securing high-quality residential development opportunities that support long-term growth. This executive will oversee market analysis, land sourcing, underwriting, negotiations, due diligence, and acquisitions while building strong relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, municipalities, and other industry partners. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute land acquisition strategies aligned with company growth objectives. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate residential land opportunities. Lead financial underwriting, feasibility analysis, due diligence, and acquisition approvals. Manage and mentor the land acquisition team and coordinate with development, finance, construction, and operations. Maintain a strong pipeline of future land opportunities and market intelligence. Build and maintain relationships with brokers, landowners, developers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders. Monitor market trends, zoning, entitlement opportunities, competition, and land values. Manager acquisition team Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in residential land acquisition, development, or homebuilding. Strong knowledge of land valuation, financial modeling, entitlements, and residential development. Proven track record of sourcing and closing successful land transactions.
