Field Training and Support Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Field Training and Support Engineer to join a fast-paced, on-site position in McLean, VA. This role will serve as a technical product expert supporting advanced Counter-UAS (C-UAS) systems. Responsibilities for the Field Training and Support Engineer include: Lead technical training for C-UAS hardware and software, including in-person and virtual instruction, program development, and preparation for new product capabilities Serve as the technical lead for third-party service partners, providing training, technical guidance, and oversight. Troubleshoot complex Tier 2 technical issues involving RF environments, C-UAS systems, hardware, and software Support customer deployments through site surveys, system installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and development of technical documentation Qualifications for the Field Training and Support Engineer include: 5–7 years of experience in Field Engineering, Technical Training, Professional Services, or a similar technical role supporting hardware and software products Deep knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) systems and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) technology Experience managing, training, or overseeing third-party service providers, technical partners, or channel partners in a customer-facing environment Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is highly preferred Compensation for the Field Training and Support Engineer includes: Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000 Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays This job opens for applications on 8/20/26.
