Operate portable and fixed radiography systems, including examinations in the ED and inpatient units, while adhering to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles. Prepare and maintain imaging equipment; ensure accurate patient identification, order verification, and image labeling; document procedures in the radiology information system (RIS) and PACS. Collaborate with radiologists and the broader care team to meet imaging requests; explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety during exams. Maintain patient privacy and dignity; follow infection control and safety policies; participate in quality control and routine equipment checks as directed. Support a fast‑paced hospital environment, including standby imaging and after‑hours coverage as needed, while maintaining professional standards. Requirements Active radiologic technologist license or credential as required by Georgia state regulations (or eligible to obtain for placement). ARRT registration or equivalent national credential preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain. 1+ year of radiography experience in a hospital setting; ED imaging experience preferred. Ability to perform 12‑hour shifts and adapt to a fast‑paced ED/hospital environment. Strong patient communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to safety and quality.
