Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and making a difference in their lives as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This role is ideal for professionals equipped with school-based COTA experience who are passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential. Working closely with a licensed OT (serving virtually in a supervisory capacity), you will provide in-person support 32.5 hours per week to a diverse group of 32 students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid COTA licensure in Michigan
• Experience with pediatric and/or school-based occupational therapy
• Strong ability to adapt interventions to a variety of learning needs and environments
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, staff, families, and a remote supervising OT
• Organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and documentation
• Commitment to professional growth and student-centered care

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT
• Implement strategies to foster students’ independence and participation in classroom and school activities
• Collect data, record progress, and share updates with the supervising OT and school staff
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to planning
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt materials and environments for student success
• Communicate promptly via virtual platforms to receive supervision and consultation
