Job Summary

Psychiatric Nurse (PSYCH) – Psychiatric Unit – Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a 72-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, serving adult and adolescent patients. The role requires responding to emergency situations, including de-escalation, restraints, and responding to codes, with the opportunity to support a diverse patient population.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 3 years of current psychiatric hospital experience required.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with adult and adolescent patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:10. CPI certification is preferred and can be completed onsite. The facility is currently understaffed, so candidates should be aware of staffing levels and available support. Candidates must be comfortable responding to codes, de-escalation, and restraints. Navy scrubs are required. COVID and Flu medical or religious exemptions are allowed.
