Business Development Manager

Business Development/C&I Relationship ManagerThe Business Development/C&I Relationship Manager will play a crucial role in increasing the Eastern Iowa client base by establishing productive and profitable relationships with external firms and organizations. They will originate and service commercial relationships and will provide guidance and leadership to other Commercial Relationship Managers and Commercial Portfolio Managers.Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:Conducts and promotes business development across business lines to include C&I Lending, CRE Lending, Treasury Management, Private Banking, Mortgage, and Wealth ManagementActively calls on COIs, business leaders, and attending events regularly to increase the name recognition of Bankers Trust in the marketIdentifies, structures, closes, monitors and services commercial loans of varying complexityEnsures that all loan decisions, actions, and recommendations are based on an accurate and thorough understanding of each customer's financial needs and market conditions, while complying with regulations and lawsEvaluates and underwrites opportunities and recommend to loan committee for approvalManages documentation process and negotiates loan agreementsMonitors portfolio on an ongoing basis to ensure financial performance conforms with initial underwritingMaintains high asset qualityPerforms other duties as assignedEducation and/or Experience:College degree in Business related field required; Masters degree is preferredAt least 15 years of Commercial Banking experience required, more than 20 years is preferredProven business development and sales experience along with a track record of growing a loan portfolio is requiredFour-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceSpecific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:Understand and comply with all regulationsAdvanced knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit analysis and credit portfolio managementAdvanced knowledge of the market and various industriesEffective communicator with various stakeholders (colleagues, clients, community members)Strong business acumen with the ability to work collaborativelyStrong credit analysis techniquesLoan evaluation skillsLoan Documentation knowledgeStrong knowledge of Bank regulationsBenefits:Group Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Volunteer Time Off (VTO)401(k) plan with lucrative company matchTuition assistanceCompany Paid Life InsurancePaid Parental LeaveLifestyle Accounts that provide employees with reimbursement for the things that are most important to them such as childcare, student loan payments, gym memberships, pet insurance and much more.Team Member Banking - a suite of products and services with special benefits for employeesHybrid Eligibility: Position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (requiring some days in the office each week).Equal Opportunity EmployerProtected Veterans and Individual with Disability
