Mainframe DB2 Developer

Role Name: Mainframe DB2 Developer Location: Columbus, OH (100% Onsite from Day 1) Experience: 10+ Years Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Perform DB2 application development including SQL coding, stored procedures, and database interactions.
- Optimize, tune, and debug complex mainframe applications for performance and reliability.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable mainframe solutions.
- Support production cycles, resolve incidents, perform impact analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with system analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders for end-to-end delivery.
- Develop batch and online programs using Enterprise COBOL on System Z.
- Create and maintain JCL scripts to manage batch processes.
- Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and deployment activities.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security requirements, and documentation best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deep expertise in mainframe DB2 application development
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mainframe issues quickly
- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and job processing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced environment
