Location: South Carolina (Columbia) Contract Type: Traveler Start Date: 06/29/2026 Pay Range: Competitive

Role Overview: This role requires advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgery, close collaboration with surgeons and nurses, and a strong focus on patient safety and surgical efficiency by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and managing specialized instruments and equipment.

Requirements:

• Two years' experience required.
• Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
• Certificates Required: ACLS*, BLS, NBSTSA, NBSTSA
• Certification with NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted if ST was employed as a ST in S.C. prior to January 1, 2008, or completed a ST military training program. (Lawson Code NCST)
• Education - Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Any Charting System Experience preferred
• Trauma Level I Experience preferred
• Cardiovascular Skills: Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Professional Knowledge and Skills: Aseptic Technique, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure
• Additional Skills: Scrub and Circulate
• On Call Required

Schedule: Shift: 4x10 Shift Days (7:00 AM 5:30 PM) On Call:

• Vascular - If fully staffed it is 7 to 10 days on call the weekend is included in that number. The weekend call is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday..
• Hearts - It is 10 to 15 days on call and 2 weekends which consists of Friday Saturday and Sunday.
