Job Title

Primary Purpose: To work with the public, children and school personnel answering and routing questions and messages, and to aid the secretary in running an efficient and positive office

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED

Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to work with the public; ability to deal with children; the ability to work with interruptions; ability to make good judgments and decisions; confidentiality

Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheet, etc.

Organizational and mathematical skills

Bilingual preferred

Experience: Some experience working with school-aged children; possess public relations skills

Equipment Used

Multi-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Working Conditions

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Pay Grade: AS201

Pay Rate: Min. $14.50; Mid. $17.48
