It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.**Description of Work**The Behavior Programming Specialist (BPS) supports the behavioral programming component of habilitation plans for individuals with significant intellectual or developmental disabilities. Working under a staff psychologist, the BPS collects and organizes behavioral data. They assist in evaluating adaptive, developmental, and social behaviors. The role includes helping develop, implement, train, and monitor behavior intervention programs while engaging directly with residents.
