Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan
• Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Knowledge of IEP process and documentation standards
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess K-12 students to identify needs impacting school performance, including fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and contribute to IEP team meetings
• Support students’ access to the curriculum through targeted strategies, modifications, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal standards
• Offer consultation and training for teachers and staff around classroom strategies and accommodations
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all learners
