We are seeking dedicated Engine Assemblers to join our Engine Assembly Department on the production floor. The role primarily supports the sub-assembly process, involving work with smaller engine components and preparing engines for the next production stage. Team members will utilize detailed work instructions and a variety of tools, such as torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills. Assemblers will work across various areas of the assembly line, including crankshaft and piston assembly, contributing to the remanufacturing and resale of diesel and gasoline engines.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed work instructions to assemble engine components.
• Utilize hand, power, torque, and pneumatic tools effectively.
• Work in different areas of the assembly line, including crankshaft and piston assembly.
• Maintain high quality standards throughout the production process.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow standardized work instructions.
• Experience as a mechanic, automotive technician, maintenance technician, diesel technician, assembler, or machine builder.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of vocational training, trade school coursework, or military mechanical experience.
• Automotive hobbyist projects or engine rebuilds.
• Proven ability to diagnose, repair, or assemble mechanical systems with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing and engine testing facility is a dynamic environment with constant production activity. Employees will encounter mechanical equipment, running engines, and moving machinery. The environment can be loud, hot, humid, and dirty, with exposure to oils, lubricants, and other manufacturing materials. Safety gear, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, and gloves, is mandatory on the manufacturing floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
