Registered Nurse - Medsurg & Cardiac Observation

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medsurg and Cardiac Observation unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to a variety of patients, including pre/post catheterization, COPD, CHF, and arrhythmias. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts, requiring weekends as scheduled. Travelers can expect to work every other weekend, with shift times of 7 PM to 7 AM.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips
• Administer medications via set-rate drips, including Cardizem and Amiodarone
• Provide direct patient care, including EKGs, vitals, and ADLs
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in patient discharges and admissions, managing up to 6 patients per day

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to read cardiac strips is essential
• Experience with Cardizem and Amiodarone, as well as TR Bands, is a plus

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
