Job Title: R&D Assembly Technician
Location: Acton, MA 01720
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $30/hour on W2
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week
Job Description:
We are seeking an R&D Assembly Technician to support the development and assembly of medical devices in a research and development environment. The role involves assembling small, intricate components using manual and semi-automated equipment, following detailed work instructions, documenting build results, and collaborating with engineers to improve assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and semi-automated assembly of small medical device components.
- Work with microscopes or magnification tools for precision assembly.
- Operate and troubleshoot basic manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tools.
- Follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Record build data, observations, deviations, and test outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements and troubleshooting.
- Maintain compliance with cleanroom, GMP, and ISO requirements as applicable.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, R&D, or assembly technician experience.
- Basic understanding of mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with small components under magnification.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Medical device manufacturing, regulated manufacturing, or cleanroom experience preferred.
