The role collaborates to meet budgeted census projections while providing leadership to the clinical team. Primary Responsibilities Clinical Planning & Service Delivery Develop, implement, and maintain operational and clinical policies, procedures, and systems that support efficient and effective delivery of services per Nexus guidelines. Foster a trauma‑informed care environment; establish and maintain a positive clinical culture and implement necessary changes. Advance daily decisions, problem‑solve, and provide hands‑on direction of all staff; work collaboratively with staff to monitor the healthy functioning of the clinical environment. Contribute to the creation and implementation of the organization’s vision and strategic initiatives; guide assigned staff in working toward and achieving agency goals. Continuously monitor client treatment and proactively implement improvements; identify and analyze potential or current opportunities and risks. Collaborate with service leadership to evaluate long‑term strategic changes that support the clinical process. Clinical Strategy Collaborate with CQI to assess and interpret service and performance data; identify client and service trends, risks, outcomes, and compliance opportunities. Maintain accountability and oversight of clinical processes, team performance, and service outcomes; provide direct, individual, family, and group therapies when applicable. Facilitate the engagement, collaboration, questions, and concerns of clients and families. Understand training needs of the service area; collaborate with Nexus home office to ensure staff attend and participate in required trainings. Regularly assess and review staff performance and functioning, client needs, and service requirements. Service & Treatment Plans Participate in the evaluation of prospective clients; ensure staff readiness and understanding of service area expectations. Oversee the development and implementation of service and treatment plans. Ensure client assessments are conducted per established standards and guidelines. Abide by licensing requirements and guidelines. Produce accurate reports and documentation consistently, confidentially, and professionally. Employee Selection, Training & Performance Evaluation Actively participate in interviewing and hiring; orient, mentor, train, and develop staff per organizational and licensing guidelines. Monitor and facilitate staff skill development regarding service and treatment plans and client documentation maintenance. Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct formal evaluations with meaningful, constructive, positive feedback. Model, support, and mentor on Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities. Consult with Human Resources on employee corrective action or improvement opportunities. Staff Monitoring & Service Area Policy Ensure confidentiality regarding client background and treatment; comply with Nexus policies on privacy, boundaries, and confidentiality. Demonstrate compassion, honesty, positivity, respect, and professionalism in interactions. Adhere to and monitor compliance with safety and health codes and procedures; identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct regular service‑area inspections and client record reviews; respond to and resolve safety and health concerns promptly. Show acceptance and respect for clients and coworkers of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. Participates in the development and accountability of the budget. Required Education and Licensure Master’s degree in Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a clinically related field. Meet Qualified Mental Health Service definitions as defined by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (Section 132.25). Minimum 1 year of supervisory or program management experience. Minimum 2 years providing children, adolescents, and family‑based behavioral health services in a residential or group home. Valid driver’s license, meet state regulating agency and corporate driving requirements, and have a car available for home‑based services. Background and sexual conduct clearances required. Preferred Education and Experience 3 years of supervisory or program management experience in a residential or group home preferred. 5 years of experience in adolescent, adult, and family‑based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience preferred. Licensed as a Mental Health Professional (LCPC, LCSW, LASOP) preferred.
