Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting students with moderate to severe needs. This full-time position runs from August 6th, 2026, through June 4th, 2027, providing you the chance to work with students for a complete academic year. The role may also involve guiding a Transition program designed to equip students with essential life skills for success beyond high school.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Current, valid California teaching credential specializing in Moderate/Severe disabilities (Mod/Severe).
• Prior experience working in special education settings, especially with students who have moderate to severe needs, strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to promoting student independence, self-advocacy, and functional life skills.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in a Mod/Severe classroom setting and/or a Transition program.
• Develop, update, and manage IEPs tailored to student needs, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, encouraging student growth and achievement.
• Work closely with families, therapists, and other educational professionals to support student success.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to address the diverse learning styles and needs of your students.
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records as required.
