Job Description
Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float

Schedule

Night shift 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. No block schedule requests. Flexibility is essential due to pool staffing.

Assignment Details

This is a float pool position with ratios up to 1:6 in Medical-Surgical units. A maximum of 7 days RTO is allowed. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it; if two occur, the traveler is expected to work both; if three occur, the traveler is expected to work two.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Full compliance required to start on time.
• Orientation hours are non-billable and depend on the length of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in various specialty areas including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU.
• Assess patient conditions and administer medications as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and assess patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes in compliance with facility policies.
