Director of Operations

Director Of OperationsUnder the leadership of the Executive Director, the Director of Operations will be responsible for the successful overall operation of the branch including membership, wellness and program implementation and delivery, budget, staff leadership, and financial results.Essential Functions:Provide supervision and leadership to all Branch Directors to ensure sound operations and program implementation and advancement.Provide direct oversight and leadership to the Wellness Department, including scheduling, programming, chronic disease program delivery, equipment acquisition and upkeep, personal training oversight.Provide oversight and leadership to the Oakcrest facility.Foster a climate of partnership with Community Campus leaders.Monitor monthly financial status, including membership and program delivery, membership and program income, expenses, cost controls and revenue opportunities.Develop and manage overall branch budget.Provide leadership to branch growth through program expansion, member recruitment and retention.Foster a climate of innovation to develop member and community focused programs which support the Y mission, goals and strategies.Ensure the overall safety of the facility.Work closely with the COO and Executive Director in developing and working with the Branch Board of Managers.Support the Branch Annual Support Campaign.Support the association-wide fund development efforts and events.Ensure the building and all programs are within all YMCA standards and that all local, state and federal regulations are met.Requirements:Proven Wellness/Fitness leadership experiencePrevious experience in programming and building operations.BS/BA degree or equivalent education and experience in related fieldYMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferredFive years of proven supervisory skills or relevant work experience.Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)Facility management experienceBudget development and management experiencePhysical Requirements/Working Conditions:Must be able to meet deadlines and handle one-self professionally during difficult situations.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to conduct presentations in front of groups of people.Must be able to use a computer effectively.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Working conditions are normal for an office environment, with sitting, bending, lifting of normal office work.Work may require frequent weekend and evening work.
