Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations by reviewing patient histories and performing specialized assessments to identify treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient feedback, and progress towards goals.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment strategies to patients and their families, actively involving them in the goal-setting process.
• Monitor and document changes in patient conditions, making necessary adjustments to care plans while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring that patient care activities are documented accurately and consistently in accordance with our health care standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote awareness about our services and improve access to care.
• Take an active role in your professional development by pursuing continuing education opportunities and serving as a mentor to students.
• Promote patient access to care by identifying and removing barriers within the healthcare system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Ability Rehab PT, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This role requires a holistic approach to rehabilitation, addressing not only physical recovery but also the emotional and psychological aspects of healing.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with orthopedic patients.
• Current CPR certification is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation or home health physical therapy.
• Familiarity with outcome measurement tools and patient management systems.
• Previous teaching or mentorship experience in the field of physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

Ability Rehab PT offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
