Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients' physical status according to best practice standards and state regulations.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans based on evaluations that focus on achieving specific, measurable goals for mobility, strength, and overall functional improvement.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and updated methodologies to treat a diverse range of patients with various injuries, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient progress closely, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery and prevent setbacks.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility procedures and legal requirements.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss patient cases, share knowledge, and promote best practices among staff members.
• Continue professional development through educational workshops and review of current literature in the field of physical therapy.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient therapy environment that supports optimal patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on adult and geriatric patients dealing with orthopedic issues, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. The therapist will be dedicated to understanding each patient's unique needs, providing empathetic care and motivation throughout their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active physical therapy license to practice in Virginia, ensuring compliance with state health regulations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED training.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience delivering physical therapy services in an outpatient setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine compassion for helping patients, with a proven ability to motivate them to engage in their recovery.
• Knowledge of efficient use of therapy equipment and a commitment to maintaining the facility's high operational standards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with orthopedic patients, particularly post-operative individuals.
• Exposure to innovative therapeutic techniques and alternative rehabilitation practices.
• Familiarity with patient management software to enhance care coordination and documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this Physical Therapist role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
