Director of Human Resources (Full-Time)
The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Utica
$62,500–$67,500 annually

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Utica is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions within our facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing employee relations, recruitment, payroll, compliance, and HR operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

SHRM certification strongly preferred

• Oversee and manage all HR operations, including employee relations, benefits, and compliance

• Process and manage weekly payroll accurately and on time

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and HR policies

• Partner with department leaders to assess staffing needs, recruit, interview, and onboard new hires

• Address and resolve employee concerns with professionalism and confidentiality

• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws

• Manage PTO tracking and HR systems

• Support leadership with HR guidance, reporting, and administrative functions

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 2–3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care

• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• SHRM certification strongly preferred
