EB Groton Shipyard Overview
Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain proper coolant mixture and levels in all machinery in the shipyard (i.e. Machine shop, R&D, Pipe shop,etc.)
- Change machine coolant and dispose of all hazardous waste generated
- Change filters
- Check and maintain oil levels
- Part of a team to in perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all major equipment
Skills:
- Basic tool applications and use
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from policies and procedures
Required:
- HS Diploma / GEDOR 2+ years of related technical experience
- 2 - 5 years of mechanical experience
- 2 - 5 years experience working around operating equipment
- Available to work all shifts and to support overtime as needed
