By the Hudson River, Wave Hill is a landscaped public garden with wooded paths and a cultural center.Migrant Wellness Program Coming to the United States after experiencing trauma, witnessing violence and war, and/or living in refugee camps with limited resources, and very limited health care access and educational support, migrants who have fled their countries in search of a better life often arrive with a range of health or psychosocial needs. Through federal funding, a program area has been launched to address wellness within this population. Leading our migrant wellness programming will be a team of specifically trained and licensed clinicians who have proven experience in victim services, therapeutic regiments, and vital educational resources, as well as in recognizing human trafficking indicators. Our team has extensive knowledge and expertise to provide high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically appropriate mental health care to migrant families navigating the U.S immigration process.Learn about the Migrant Wellness Program Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):Provides professional therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups receiving services within the program area.Conduct intakes, psychosocial assessments, and mental health diagnosis including the clients' acuity, strengths, and treatment needs.Develop family-centered and culturally appropriate treatment plans and provides outpatient services to include: providing individual counseling, family counseling/training, and/or group counseling. Use evidence-based practices and trauma-informed practices.Work cooperatively with members of a larger treatment or service coordination team, either internally within the agency or externally in the larger community.Develop, facilitate, and effectively present program curricula for classes or groups on human trafficking, substance abuse/mental health, and other topics.Responsible for clinical documentation, i.e., progress notes, patient assessments, service/treatment plans, and other forms/records as required in a timely manner. Maintain detailed case files and other documentation in 100% compliance with the program standards.Participate in actively soliciting feedback from program participants through distributing satisfaction surveys or other approved means.Meet or exceed program productivity expectations on a regular and sustained basisOther duties as assignedRequirements:Master's Degree in a Human Behavioral ScienceLicensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Minimum 2 -4 years experience relevant experience, working with vulnerable, immigrant or migrant populationsAccess to a home office to provide confidential and private work.Bilingual (English/Spanish) requiredLicensed in NY requiredSchedule: Full time, flex schedule with hours that may include evenings and weekends.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
