Maintenance -Electrical Technician

(Preferred)ResponsibilitiesInspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components so that they remain fully functional in a production environment.Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, mergers, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.Review blueprints to understand the wiring to troubleshoot component problemsProvide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.Three-phase and single-phase experience required 120/240/480 voltAbility to troubleshoot complex circuitsExperience installing Rigid and EMT conduit up to 2”Lockout Tag out and Electrical Safety ExperiencePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsYou will get dirty as it is a heavy industrial facility.2 or 4-year degree in EE or EET or 3-5+ years equivalent experiencePLC experience – preferably Allen Bradly, some Siemens a plus – min 1 year480V 3-Phase power experience preferably in manufacturingMechanical and electrical troubleshooting experienceAbility to read electrical schematics.NFPA 70 (NEC) & 70E (electrical safety) familiarityIndustrial manufacturing experience a plusArc flash training a plusPrevious experience in electrical engineering or other related fieldsFamiliarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manualsFamiliarity with electrical equipment and hand toolsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsAuthorized to work in the United StatesYou should be proficient in:Customer ServicePLC Troubleshooting SkillsBachelor's DegreeElectrical SchematicsElectrical Troubleshooting SkillsMechanical Troubleshooting SkillsHydraulics ExperiencePLC Programming ExperiencePLC Wiring ExperienceMachine Safety InspectionsMeets Physical RequirementsBasic Computer SkillsMachines & technologies you'll use:Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) #J-18808-Ljbffr
