Description

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for a friendly and organized individual to join our Madison, AL team as a Part-Time Receptionist . This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and donors, providing excellent customer service and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, donors, applicants, vendors, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries
• Direct visitors to the appropriate department or staff member
• Collect and accurately enter donor demographic information into applicable systems or logs
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries, and coordinate outgoing mail or packages
• Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming reception area
• Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and preparing documents
• Schedule appointments, meetings, or conference rooms as needed
• Maintain visitor logs, sign-in procedures, badges, and other front-desk security protocols

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, customer service, administrative support, or other public-facing role, preferred

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.

To provide a safe blood supply that meets or exceeds the needs in each community we serve, and to provide a variety of services in support of ongoing and emerging blood and transfusion related activities.
