The Speech Language Pathologist will join the rehabilitation department of a close-knit community hospital designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. The position is primarily outpatient and includes occasional inpatient coverage based on patient needs. The SLP will work with pediatric and adult populations experiencing speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. With a varied caseload and a strong community presence, the department offers an engaging balance of clinical variety, professional autonomy, and continuity of care.
The SLP will report directly to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Clinical support is provided through collaboration with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include completing evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapy, documenting progress, and educating patients and caregivers. The SLP will also contribute to discharge planning and interdisciplinary care coordination to promote safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.
