Reimbursement Specialist

Work Schedule:
This is a part time, 0.5 FTE position. This is a hybrid position with monthly onsite requirements at 7974 UW Health Ct in Madison, WI. Qualified candidates should be able to work 4 hours per day Monday-Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This will be discussed further in the interview.

We are seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to:
- Our Reimbursement (Claims) Specialists manage the most complex government claims, working them through claim edit work queues.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submission of claims in accordance with payer guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Analyzes payer errors and rejections to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field Preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role Required
- Epic experience
- Three years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle, specific to area of expertise (I.e. transplant, research, or client billing)
