Customer Supply Chain Manager

: You will serve as the Manager of the Matco Tools Global Indirect Procurement and Logistics Network and will lead a team of 4 direct reports. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Indirect Procurement Leadership for Matco Tools:
  • Assess expense spend leveraging internal Matco network and corporate procurement leadership to:
  • Build and execute a project funnel to reduce expenses and increase payment terms on indirect suppliers
• Direct responsibility for Matco Tools inbound & outbound logistics spend:
  • Combined annual freight spend: $35M+
  • 850,000+ small parcels shipped annually
  • 52,000+ LTL shipments annually
  • Management of all carrier relationships (small parcel, LTL, TL, ocean freight, trade compliance)
  • Drive logistics cost savings and network optimization through freight data analytics
    • Deliver $650K+ in annual logistics savings projects
  • Owner of import/export trade compliance for domestic and international shipments

• Leadership:
  • Responsible for the direct management of 4 associates and their career and development plans
  • Lead initiatives for improving employee engagement and retention

• Continuous Improvement:
  • Responsible for leading and enabling continuous improvement activities across the logistics network to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
  • Prioritizing sustainable continuous improvements to processes and results

• Budget Responsibility:
  • Responsible for the development of and performance against annual freight and indirect budgets

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor's degree required
• People management experience: 2 years of experience managing professionals and nonexempt staff preferred
• Advanced quantitative analytics proficiency required (i.e. proficient user of MS Excel and statistical analysis)
• 3 years database/business intelligence system query writing and analysis experience preferred
• 3 years prior transportation/logistics experience
