Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Saint Louis, MO.Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Specialist will process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Prepare ACH payments, wire transfers, and check runs
• Maintain vendor records and assist with vendor onboarding
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will assist with 1099 preparation and audit requests
• Generate reports and perform spreadsheet analysis
• Collaborate with accounting team members on special projects and process improvements

Skills

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
• Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting multiple entities or locations
• Sage Intacct or similar ERP experience
• Healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, or supply chain accounting experience
• Experience with automated invoice workflow systems
• Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
