HVAC Technician (Commercial)

Local Territory | Field-Based Role

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing commercial service team. In this role, you’ll handle a variety of service calls and work orders, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

You’ll be the face of our service team in the field—diagnosing issues, delivering high-quality workmanship, and ensuring customer systems run safely and efficiently .

What You’ll Do:

• ✅ Perform service calls and complete work orders for commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• ✅ Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues
• ✅ Conduct preventive maintenance to improve system reliability and performance
• ✅ Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment and components
• ✅ Work with sheet metal as needed for installations and repairs
• ✅ Safely handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA standards
• ✅ Accurately document service work and completed tasks
• ✅ Communicate clearly with customers about issues, solutions, and recommendations
• ✅ Manage daily service routes across multiple job sites
• ✅ Follow all safety procedures and best practices

What You Bring: Required Skills & Experience:

• ✔️ 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience
• ✔️ Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills in commercial HVAC systems
• ✔️ Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs
• ✔️ Refrigeration troubleshooting and service experience
• ✔️ Solid electrical diagnostics knowledge
• ✔️ Installation experience with HVAC equipment and components
• ✔️ Sheet metal experience
• ✔️ EPA certification
• ✔️ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily
• ✔️ Ability to work independently in the field
• ✔️ Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Bonus Qualifications:

• ⭐ Experience with construction or related mechanical trades
• ⭐ Experience servicing commercial clients across diverse facility types
• ⭐ Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
