Data Analyst Advisor

Designs and implements advanced processes and analytics associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, and prediction to enable informed business decisions. Essential Responsibilities Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying highly technical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Provides insight from initial concept to fully tested production and communicates results to a broad range of audiences. Effectively uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making. Mentors less senior staff. Works in cross functional projects and programs. Routinely presents to management. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or finance. Minimum Experience Seven (7) years of experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Superior analytical skills with diverse analytics and statistical software and applications. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proven leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Understand critical business logic, processes and systems used by Global Sales teams to conduct comprehensive analyses. Effectively communicate, collaborate with Global Sales teams and provide timely solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment. Independently attend cross functional meetings and discussions to provide business guidance based on analytical insights to peers and managers of partner teams. Research best practices and utilize external data and benchmarks to establish and monitor key performance metrics. Mentors and trains professionals in less senior positions within the team on quantitative data analysis and utilization of analytical tools. Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Proven business problem solving abilities with a quality mindset, including the ability to identify root causes and propose solutions. Experience developing a story and recommendations to support business decisions. Demonstrated process improvement, and systems thinking experience. Demonstrated experience with SQL and programming (e.g. SAS, Python). Experience with building visualizations using tools like Tableau/Power BI. Experience with sales systems and/or processes as well as a breadth of FedEx knowledge and experience. Experience in communicating with cross functional and global partners. Additional Details This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location.
