Electrical Engineer

The Role We Want You For The Electrical Engineer will support the design and implementation of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including data centers, advanced manufacturing plants, and other high-reliability environments. Working alongside a Senior Electrical Engineer on each project, this mid-level role is responsible for producing detailed electrical designs, performing analyses, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure that meets demanding uptime and efficiency requirements in a fast-paced, design-build environment. The Specifics of the Role Develop electrical designs for mission-critical projects under the direction of a Senior Electrical Engineer, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. Produce medium- and low-voltage power distribution, grounding, UPS, standby generator, and redundancy designs (N+1, 2N, distributed/block-redundant) for data centers and other high-availability environments. Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using industry-standard software. Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations. Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, structural, and EPMS teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project design. Support construction administration activities, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field observations. Contribute to client meetings and presentations, supporting the senior engineer in communicating technical solutions. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the mission-critical industry. Requirements BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET institution required. 3-7 years of experience in Electrical Engineering; mission-critical, data center, or high-tech manufacturing project experience preferred. EIT required; PE License preferred or actively pursuing. Working knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power system design, redundancy planning, and energy efficiency strategies for high-reliability facilities. Proficiency in software tools such as SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower for power system analysis; exposure to AmpCalc or CYMCAP for cable ampacity analysis is a plus. Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and other relevant codes and standards. Experience working in a design-build or integrated project delivery (IPD) environment is a plus.
