Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role based in Chicago, IL. The Paralegal will support attorneys in personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, malpractice, and workers’ compensation cases by drafting and organizing legal documents, preparing pleadings, and managing case files. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and summarizing medical records and discovery materials, coordinating with clients, experts, and witnesses, and assisting with trial preparation, including exhibit lists and trial binders. The role also involves maintaining case calendars and deadlines, filing documents with courts and administrative agencies, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation throughout all stages of litigation. The Paralegal will collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to support efficient case progression and strong advocacy for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and litigation procedures, preferably in personal injury, malpractice, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and correspondence.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, experts, and witnesses.
• Advanced Research skills, including legal research, factual investigation, and summarizing medical and employment records.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in Document Review, including analyzing discovery, evidence, and case materials.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities.
• Proficiency with law office software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred; prior experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
