Litigation Associate

A respected plaintiff-side litigation firm is looking for a 3 to 5-year Associate Attorney to join its team in Greenbrae.
This is an opportunity to work on high-stakes mass tort and complex litigation matters, partnering closely with experienced trial attorneys, working on sophisticated matters, and taking meaningful ownership of substantive litigation work.
This is a hands-on role for an attorney who enjoys complex litigation and wants to be closely involved in case development, strategy and trial preparation.

- Base salary of $160,000-$190,000
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Handle matters involving mass tort, MDL, product liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical, medical device and other complex litigation
- Draft and respond to motions, briefs, pleadings and discovery
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues
- Assist with depositions, hearings, discovery and trial preparation
- Review and analyze medical records, expert materials and other case documents
- Work directly with attorneys, clients, experts, co-counsel and opposing counsel
- Contribute to case strategy and take ownership of assigned matters
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years of litigation experience
- Experience with plaintiff-side litigation, ideally mass tort, MDL, product liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical or medical device matters
- Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
- Experience drafting motions, briefs, pleadings and discovery
- J.D. and active California Bar admission
- Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple matters
