Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Dundee, Kansas. Start date 10/11/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,487–$2,598 per week. Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3x12). Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital with a Labor & Delivery unit. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

- On-call/Rotations: 2–3 on-call shifts per month; every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including monitoring contractions, fetal heart rate, maternal vitals, pain management, and supportive care.
- Monitor fetal status and maternal condition; interpret tracing and respond to abnormalities per protocol; assist with labor progress, induction/augmentation, and delivery as directed.
- Administer medications and assist with anesthesia-related processes; support during delivery, including cesarean delivery as needed, and oversee postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, and neonatal teams; document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC experience is highly preferred).
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and patient and family education on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care; coordinate with the care team for discharge planning.
- May float to medical-surgical units for overflow and may care for pediatric patients as assigned; participate in required on-call shifts.

Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in Kansas (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; new graduates not accepted.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications; fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months; must be committed to obtaining PALS prior to start.
- EPIC experience highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a labor and delivery setting with potential float to medical-surgical units and pediatric care as needed.
- Completion of an accredited RN program (education equivalent to a nursing degree/ diploma).
