Position PIT Operator — As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in providing sophisticated supply chain solutions for customers. Your typical day Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack or move product, equipment, and materials Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy Load and unload trailers as needed Maintain a clean environment by adhering to the 7S program Demonstrate a commitment to process excellence Understand and apply the Supply Chain quality policy Perform inbound receiving processes What you need to succeed Minimum requirements: Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed Preferred qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 1 year of warehouse experience Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team Excellent communication skills This role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods Handle or manage tools or equipment Tolerance for hot or cold warehouse environments About GXO GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions for the world’s most successful companies.
