System Administrator

Provides operational, project, and initiative support for all aspects of enterprise IT systems. This includes service request fulfillment, incident response, and routine maintenance and auditing. This position also requires the ability to identify and effectively communicate opportunities for improvement and reducing technical debt. Qualifications & Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, or related field. Professional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. 5 years of systems administration experience. Deep understanding and operational knowledge of scripting languages, operating systems, current technologies, disaster recovery procedures, and monitoring tools. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills required. Ability and desire to work in a team environment. Ability to effectively learn and apply new technologies. Ability to embrace concept of continual improvement to help streamline processes and improve user experience. Ability to work independently and under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and deal with changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness. Ability to take initiative in completing daily tasks and special projects. Ability to focus on tasks with greatest impact and see them through to completion. Primary Responsibilities Operational support, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corporate servers and IT services across local and remote sites. Determines system requirements, designs solutions, and installs and integrates new or replacement system hardware and software. Monitors system performance and responds to system incidents and outages. Ensures system security and compliance. Works with IT Architects to aid in design, implementation, and continual improvement of infrastructure.
