Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Registered Nurse – Perioperative/PACU

Schedule: - Shifts: 8-hour, variable day shifts - Typical start times: 0900, 1000, or 1330 - Weekend coverage: Based on unit needs

Requirements: - Valid RN license required - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Trauma Level II experience required - Previous charge RN experience preferred - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; Post-Anesthesia Recovery certification preferred - Experience with pediatric PACU is a plus - Experience in monitoring: End-tidal CO2, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition

Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide Phase I and Phase II care in PACU - Conduct post-op assessments and manage pain through PCA - Monitor patients and manage airway for extubation and ventilated patients - Administer blood products and perform medication reconciliation - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care

Compliance / Notes: - Orientation: 40 hours - Must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities - Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) - Submission requirements: SSN, DOB, RTO must be included at time of submission - Additional compliance rules apply; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
