CNC Mill Machinist – 1st Shift (Up to $30/hr)Location: Schiller Park, ILShift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday)Pay Rate: Up to $30.00/hour (Based on experience)Benefits: 401(k) matching, tuition assistance, health benefits, paid holidays, and PTOWhy Join Our Team?Great Schedule: Clean, consistent 1st shift hours with your evenings free.Family Atmosphere: Work in a tight-knit, friendly shop of 50 people where your name is known and your hard work is noticed.Invested in Your Growth: We offer tuition assistance to help you learn CAD/CAM, advanced programming, or machining technology.Stable, Clean Shop: Work in a well-lit, highly maintained, and safe facility.What You Will DoAs a CNC Mill Machinist in our high-mix job shop, you will set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis rotary, and 5-axis trunnion CNC vertical machining centers.Perform frequent machine and job changeovers with minimal downtime.Edit Fanuc and Okuma OSP CNC programs (adjust tool numbers, offsets, work-shifts).Read blueprints and engineering drawings to execute precise setups.Perform first-part inspections to ensure perfect quality.Manage dual-machine production when cycle times permit.What We Are Looking ForExperience: 3–5 years of CNC mill setup and operation experience in a job shop environment.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Fanuc controls and G/M code editing.Machining Range: Ability to run parts ranging from 0.5 to 22 inches in diameter.Materials: Proven experience machining tool steels and challenging materials.Mindset: A self-motivated troubleshooter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix environment.Bonus Points For:Experience running Okuma OSP controls.Familiarity using CAD/CAM software or SolidWorks.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of SCHILLER PARK, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
