About the Role We are currently seeking a Paraprofessional to support students in a Burnsville, MN school district. This is an excellent opportunity for an education professional who enjoys working directly with students and collaborating with teachers and school staff. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support to students. Assist teachers with classroom activities, assignments, and learning objectives. Support students with behavioral, social, and academic needs. Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow established behavior plans. Assist students with personal care, mobility, or other daily needs when required. Reinforce teacher instructions and support a positive, structured classroom environment. Follow student IEPs and individualized support plans. Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and participation. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the school team. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Some districts may require an Associate's degree or successful completion of a Paraprofessional assessment/exam. Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred. Ability to follow and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans. Strong communication, patience, reliability, and teamwork skills. Passion for supporting students and helping them reach their full potential. Required Skills Patience and reliability.
