Assistant Nurse Manager - ICU/Cardiovascular - FT Days

Role Overview The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports clinical quality, safety, and service excellence by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Acts as a staff nurse or relief charge nurse, assists the Nurse Manager with staffing, training, budgeting, and unit strategies. Ensures regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, and quality care standards. Provides coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback to staff, and leads unit-based education on clinical and safety initiatives. Builds a collaborative environment, fosters professional growth, and promotes patient-centered care. Qualifications & Skills Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, licensed to practice in Texas, with at least 3 years of nursing experience. Must hold current CPR certification and obtain specialty certification within a year. Demonstrates coaching, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Must be computer literate, adaptable, and team-oriented. Knowledge of hospital policies, legal nursing standards, and quality improvement is essential. Key Duties Facilitate communication, build relationships, ensure accountability, and seek continuous improvement. Coordinate staff evaluations, participate in budgeting, and lead clinical quality initiatives. Engage in special projects and support a positive, high-performance team environment. Physical Demands Physical demands include walking, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds.
