Perform general cost accounting and related accounting department duties, including data and journal entries Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries Reconcile customer accounts Verify accounts payable invoice payments and ensure charges are assigned to appropriate accounts Assist outside auditors by gathering account information and documents for the annual audit Perform filing, scanning, record keeping, and other related duties Administer credit applications, contracts, performance and payment bonds, certificates of insurance, and licenses Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting 0-5 years of experience Knowledge of general financial accounting Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well with others and follow supervisory instructions in a corporate environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Ability to tackle ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with the industry and the Company's competitors Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary Ability to travel to job sites/office locations 0-5% of the time Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Ability to perform light work, including adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in general financial accounting, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements, while adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
