About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant with at least 1 year of litigation experience to join our team in El Segundo. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is comfortable supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation. Experience in plaintiff-side employment law is a plus, but not required. Job Title: Legal Assistant (Litigation) Location: El Segundo, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Requirements Speak, read, and write in English and Spanish Knowledge and experience with civil litigation rules and processes in California Superior courts Independently draft routine civil litigation complaints, discovery (propounding and responding), motions, briefs Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro Ability to efficiently analyze and prioritize routine legal tasks and projects Excellent communication and writing skills College degree not required, but preferred Graduate of ABA-approved paralegal program not required Responsibilities Translate at client meetings to prepare for depositions, mediations, and trials File and serve legal documents with state and federal courts Independently draft complaints, discovery, motions, and mediation briefs Independently prepare routine legal documents Organize and maintain electronic case files and documents Benefits Health Dental Vision Life Insurance 401k 15 Paid Holidays per year Paid Sick Leave (40 hours per year) Cell Phone Use Reimbursement(flat, monthly of $15 for support staff) Casual Dress Environment Hybrid work model (3 days form home or you can work fully in office if you prefer) Salary - $60,000-$76,000 (some flexibility if you hit all the qualifications) All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
