Clinical Research Associate II

AbbVie seeks a Clinical Research Associate II to serve as the primary liaison between the company and investigative sites, ensuring protocol compliance and data integrity in clinical trials. The role involves site training, monitoring, risk assessment, and mentoring of junior staff while advancing the company's pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for investigative sites and coordinate engagement strategies
• Conduct site evaluations, training, monitoring activities, and closure in compliance with regulations
• Develop therapeutic area knowledge and drive patient recruitment and retention strategies
• Mentor and train junior CRAs and provide input into their professional development
• Assess site risks proactively, ensure data quality, and maintain audit/regulatory inspection readiness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health-related discipline (medical, scientific, or nursing preferred)
• Minimum 1 year clinically related experience with 6 months in clinical research monitoring
• Knowledge of risk-based monitoring approaches and ICH/GCP guidelines
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Advanced planning, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle
• Proficiency with technology tools including CRM systems
