STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates engineering support, repair and maintenance services to provide value-added solutions for owners, engineers and contractors worldwide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate work with other engineers on the team. Develop and present industry technical papers. Organize, plan, budget and schedule design and research activities. Perform wind and seismic analyses and related structural design. Understand standard contract requirements, engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating. Basic understanding of prestressed and post-tensioned concrete systems. Basic understanding of repair and strengthening techniques. Understand concepts of shoring and advanced load alteration design. Qualifications and Experience Field experience: 5+ years. Engineering background required. Ability to independently develop models and perform analysis/design using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Mathcad. Strong oral and written communication skills; able to present design issues to customers and suppliers. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of design and construction requirements for prestressed and post-tensioned concrete. Physical and Special Requirements Move about the office; sit for extended periods. Dexterity of hand and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment. Visual acuity sufficient to see items clearly, identify small details. Ability to speak and hear detailed information. Ability to travel as needed to project sites. Flexible with work hours. Valid driver's license required for rental car operation during travel. Willingness to work at heights up to 650 feet off the ground. Safety Duties Promote a 24/7 safety culture and exhibit a Safety 24/7 attitude. Maintain extreme safety consciousness in all situations.
