As a Security Officer Site Circuit Patrol in Yonkers, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders and staff with strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit areas, boarding zones, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
- Support a professional presence while assisting employees, visitors, and members of the public with directions, questions, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
