Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Assistant on behalf of a busy and growing plaintiff law firm located in the Dadeland area of Miami .

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to two attorneys , assisting with all aspects of case management from inception through trial. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal and administrative support to two attorneys.
• Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documents and case information are organized and up to date.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, and other correspondence .
• Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and other appointments .
• Assist attorneys with all phases of the discovery process , including preparing and organizing discovery materials.
• Coordinate and facilitate deposition scheduling with attorneys, opposing counsel, witnesses, and court reporters.
• Handle e-filing of court documents and ensure compliance with applicable filing requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate case calendars and track important deadlines.
• Assist with trial preparation and logistics , including organizing exhibits, evidence, trial binders, and other materials.
• Provide courtroom support during hearings and trials as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and other parties.
• Perform additional legal and administrative duties as needed to support the attorneys and firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience , preferably within a plaintiff litigation practice.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and case management.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents .
• Proficiency with e-filing systems and court filing procedures.
• Experience coordinating depositions, hearings, and other litigation-related matters.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a legal team.
• Professional, proactive, and highly dependable approach to work.
