In this role, you will serve as a technical lead for projects involving hazardous building materials—guiding project execution from planning through delivery and contributing to solutions that support infrastructure, compliance, and sustainability initiatives across diverse markets.What You'll Do:Lead the technical execution of major environmental projects focused on asbestos and hazardous building materials abatement—from concept through completion—by planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed project phasesPrepare abatement plans and related technical specifications in compliance with OSHA, EPA, AHERA, NESHAP, TSCA, ICR 56, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations for a variety of clientsGuide and mentor junior to mid-level scientists, fostering growth and technical excellence while ensuring compliance with client standards and providing quality controlOversee the preparation of large, complex environmental data sets, technical reports, and design tasks for environmental projectsLead the development of assessment reports and other reporting elements, as well as external presentations for clients, the public, and regulatory agenciesAssist with proposal development, including cost estimates and business development initiativesWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field requiredMinimum of 10 years of related experience requiredProficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel requiredAbility to read architectural renovation and demolition drawings with knowledge of building systems (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, insulation, and building materials)Proficient theoretical scientific knowledge and ability to work in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as time-management skills Valid driver’s license requiredNYSDOL Certified Asbestos Building Inspector and Asbestos Project Designer requiredNYSDOL Certified Asbestos Project Monitor, USEPA Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor, and/or NYSDOL Article 32 Mold Assessor preferredAbility to work in the field under various weather conditions and physically navigate diverse environmentsWhy You'll Love It Here:Serve as a technical leader on impactful environmental projects that support regulatory compliance, sustainability, and responsible developmentMentor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering practical, science‑based environmental solutionsWork in a flexible environment where your expertise influences project outcomes and community well‑beingCurious about the impactful work our Environmental team is doing?
