Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Medical Care/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to higher acuity neuroscience patients and those in the epilepsy monitoring unit.
• Administer and titrate medications, collaborating with physicians as necessary, especially for titratable drips like Amiodarone, Cardizem, and others.
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as strokes, seizures, and craniotomy recovery.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and contribute to care planning and decision-making.
• Ensure safe and effective care delivery while adhering to established protocols and standards, including NIHSS.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC charting system.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to work in West Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of strong Neuro experience with NIHSS certification.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with higher acuity neuroscience patients, including stroke care and EVD management.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting or similar electronic health record systems.
• COVID-19 vaccination required; exemptions may be considered for medical or religious reasons.
